Do I Need a Amp?

hi, i accidently bought 6x8 by "pyrimad"
here is the description
-5'' x 7'' Size is Perfect for Hi-End Installation or OEM Upgrades
-Fits Both 5'' x 7'' and 6'' x 8'' Configurations
-Chrome Basket & Chrome Cones
-40 oz. Magnet Structure
-1'' High Temperature Aluminum Voice Coil
-1'' Piezo High Frequency Tweeter
-2'' Aluminum Film Midrange
-300 Watts Rated Power Per Speaker
-Sensitivity: 98dB
-Frequency Response: 80Hz-18kHz
-4 Ohm Impedance
-Mounting Depth: 2.75''

Now my question is,
should i get a amp for these, if so what kind of amp should i buy (amps, watts ohms? etc)

and another question is are these speakers worth the $70.00 canadian im paying?

and are 3 way speakers better then 2way?

Is this the first and only bit of aftermarket audio equipment you're going to buy, or will you be getting into it more? You can use an outboard amplifier on any speaker as long as you set the gains properly. I definitely recommend you do a bit more reading before your next purchase though.

You might have better luck if you looked in the classifieds section.

Pyramid is an entry level speaker and for $70.00 cdn you could have had a much better speaker, but people make mistakes, just do some research before you buy your amp. If you are planning on upgrading your interior speakers than I suggest a good 4 channel.
