I have a customer that wants a nice higher quality HU but also wants a front load SD card slot. Now I dont mean behind the face plate I mean right on the front for ease of accessiblity. Now we had a conversation about the Clarion Double din piece which is nice and all but I told him he most likely has a 1.5 Din in his 03 Avalanche. So now we are on the hunt for a unit. He doesn't want a boss, soundstorm, jensen, or any of that type of equipment. Can anyone think of a unit that will fit the bill. Im at a loss. I know audiobahn had a piece a few years back but I dont even think he will take that. It will have to be a mainstream line for him to get it. Thanks in advance. Cause my brands Blau, Clarion (except 2din), Nak (Suppose to be coming out with one no release date) do not have one. Please need ideas.

you can make a double din fit in that car, you may have to modify the dash piece but the unit it self will fit into the opening inside the actual dash. you may also have to fab up some brackets as well. good luck.

 

To be all honest sell him that clarion one and make it fit.I swear that the full size chevy trucks were a double din.

Well that picture above looks exactly like the same setup. His is a indash 6 disc changer and he has the same control for the climate. Thanks I think it will work. Cheers

Ya thats about the same as the boss units. He wants like a JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood along that line.

i just checked metra and they show double din

 

This is only front one i could find. Otherwise that dude needs to suck it up and get one from behide the plate.
