Dumb a$$ amp question?
I just got my CDT ES 7.1 Golds and wondered what your opinions are for the amp I use. Right now I have a set of Quart QSD that I am rumming 2 old PPI 2150AMs with (Xovers are bi-amped and speakers are rated for 150w) but the CDT Xovers dont have the bi-amp feature and are rated for 200w the only other amp I have is a PPI 4200AM that is rated at 50x4 or 200x2 my question is........ with those options how would you power it? Should I run the 4200 bridged or a single 2150 or split the 2150s one to each side? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

WOW a 2150 bridged to each side!!! Thats 600x1 bridged or 1200w to the front end. I never tried that combo with the Quarts since they really screamed with 150w each bi-amped and wasnt sure it would sound any better? Does there not come a point where your amps are working to hard to have the control they need? I have been told that bridging amps hurts for SQ Is that crap or?????
