The two subs that I am buying tomorrow have been used for sound offs a lot and the owner decided to remove the dustcaps in order to cool the voice coils down faster. When i buy these should I glue the dustcaps back on or should i just leave them off?

first off, the dust caps probobly won't make any differance whether they are on or off as far as output is concearned however they are there for a reason...to stop debris from going into the gap. And even if you think it won't get in there, it will...any magnetic substance will be sucked right in. Whoever would take off their dustcaps to increase cooling is pretty dumb though so honestly the person probobly didn't know what they were doing so I wouldn't buy the woofers either.
