Question

Hey guys,

I'm looking on some suggestions on where to find an affordable sound deadener (the mat kind). I was told to check Home Depot and Rona/Lansing, and neither of them had ever seen the stuff, at least not at the Burlington locations. I'd rather not buy from the US, but that's starting to seem like the best choice...

not sure if there still around but www.fatmat.com. 100sq feet of 45 mil for 100 bucks U.S. personaly i havent found anything cheaper except for DIY homeade stuff.(rubber matt and crazy glue is pretty cheap to buy and it can be bought localy, but not sure how good it is for sound deadening).

check out the b-quiet goods especially the brown bread and the extreme series deadner. stay away from the regular b-quiet as it comes off most surfaces fairly easily (its ok for floors).

I have have used Blue Skin. It is a industrial vapour barrier/ sound deadener, that is a asphalt mat like material. Works great and is dB Drag legal. Cost is $50 for 75sq/ft.

Walmart? What type of deadener do they sell? Is it actually marketed as sound deadener, or is it used for something else like roofing?
