I want to get some dynamat or equivilent in sound deadeding. I know there are some dealers here. I don't what to spend a fortune at the local store.

I want to stop vibrations in my car as well as stop outside sounds, road noise. I've heard that I should use a combo of closed foam and deadener. I have a few sheets of accumat. Not sure it it really helps. I put some in the doors, but I think I need alot more. I think dynamat is the way I need to go. Any advice would be great.

Thanks

<< If you click on the B-Quiet on the sidebar you can order different types of deadening.
I have purchased 35sqft of brown bread from them twice now. Delivered right to my door for a great price.
I like brown bread but have never really tried others.
Use "cca" in the discount code and its good for 10% I think?

Thereal7 you are on the right track. The brown bread, Dynamat etc is great stuff at stopping structure born noise (damping). Because of its construction and mass it is also good at absorbing frequencies 500 Hz and below. But as you stated you need something for 500Hz and above... you could do a second full layer of Dynamat but that is heavy and EXPENSIVE. Something light with lots of surface area is best (closed cell foam should be OK) BUT the fiberglass batting or better yet a stiff fiber board material (kind of impractical in a car). I recommend 3M Thinsulate it is exceptional at HF > 1000 Hz and good from 500 and up.
