Just recieved and installed the radio, I have the mic hooked up but have not had a chance to play with it at all yet. I see if I can figure it out tomorrow morning when I run the bluetooth mic.

I mounted the bluetooth mic, have to say am slightly disappointed, its bery quiet to the person on the other end and there does not appear to be any type of mic gain. I wonder if I can switch in another mic?
The auto Eq mic works pretty good though, when in the Eq it lets you choose any of the eq's still while keeping the calibrated setting. The time alignment is confusing it gives no indication, I need to play around more, it took me about an hour to get my iPhone synced and working consistently over blue tooth.

I recently borrowed a mic and found the time alignment worked well though the eq settings were slightly off (but as others have mentioned, it gives you a good starting point). I also got my sony W760A phone working with bluetooth and A2DP audio streaming which works very well and sounds surprisingly good. I really like this deck and how flexible it is with input options.

Apparently it sounds pretty good though when placed near the dash of my car it's a little quiet. I plan on mounting it either in the headliner or pillar.

I have played around with positioning, I have it clipped to the sun visor, I did discover that the mic only has the holes on the top, (directional) so having it face you makes a bit of a difference. I think I still want to try the dash as well.

It has to go on the headliner or sunvisor, just like every other mic on the market. It has holes on the top to stop the echo that you get when a microphone faces a speaker. All brands recommend not to have the mic facing any speakers...

So having it facing towards the driver would be good as the only speakers are on the sides? Any ideas as far as making it louder (other mic etc)
