Kenwood 993 vs Eclipse 5030
I am looking to get a new bluetooth deck from Rob @ Forbiden before the new laws take effect.
I give up I cant decide so have come to the masses for input. I have decided between these two I am looking for ease of use, sound quality is quite imprortant as is adjustability as I am hoping to start competing in amature SQi. I like the look of the kenwood better and I know someone who is farmiliar with setting one up, but the eclipse seems like has an edge in sound and is almost $100 cheaper. I also like that the Eclipse has the tuning mic which I dont believe kenwood makes.
What would you get and why?
Ps thanks to Rob, Bill and Nick for their input already.

Personally I'd go with the Eclipse 5030. I find a more capable SQ head unit than my Alpine 9887 with Imprint. the kenwood has slightly better esthetics, but the eclipse is a noise free solid performer for $100+ less

thanks, I am thinking I will hold off of active for a little bit, (this wont do 3 way I dont think right?)
I think you have made my decision for me a little easier, how about blue-tooth performance (clarity for the other person) it seems like you have some experience with them.

BT is awesome... tuning mic is a seperate purchase. it's not included but works marginally well like the pioneer tuning mic. But that will just get you a very rough start. Anyone with a really good ear or an RTA will get you a much better tune

It ejects a cd faster then any CD player I've ever seen.
