I don't see any information on Fugitsu Ten's website about the Eclipse brand though.

^ Doesn't mean anything. You won't find anything about Lexus on Toyota's website or Honda on Acura's website either...

I am really irritated that this is happening, I like the Eclipse brand for a number of reasons... at least it is going down in a much more interesting fashion than Panasonic... this has entertainment value

Panasonic simply moved out due to economics, whenever you hear CEO's talking about their 'core business' the bean counters are running the show for everyone and they are going to leave a market or two. Bean counters have no forward vision only rearward vision (future decisions for the company are made by past trend analysis) they are not concerned with anything other than turning an economic trend to the black in the next quarter (no long term vision). By this definition politicians are bean counters too.
