Keep your Eclipse is right, it may be an older model now, but it will still hand an Alpine or Pioneer their butt for sound quality. If your Eclipse still operates good and has no issues with it, wait until the new ones come out. There must be more Eclipse dealers on here like me that just can't wait for the new gear to hit the store.

Unless you really want mp3, why would you go from your eclipse to that alpine? If you want more features, get a new eclipse. With the 04 models coming out, I bet you could get a pretty good deal on an 03 Eclipse(a cd8443 would do nicely).

my clipse sounds better than my nak...

but it doesnt have detach face, i dont like that...

since i dont have the rest of my system in yet i go days at a time without the face on...

although the ESN will lock it out, it wont prevenet some idiot from taking it anyways.

but i was pleasently surprised with the clipse

If a thief wants it, he/she is gonna take it. Detachable face decks get stolen all the time(with or without faceplates attached)....thieves suck.

That Eclipse you have is a fantastic head unit. I would hang onto that as long as possible. That alpine you are looking at would be a downgrade to say the least.

Dont get me wrong, alpine makes great HUs, but the one you currently own is simply a higher class of HU.
