If you are all about SQ, why would you even bother getting a deck to EQ and Xover your stuff?

Id stick with the deck you have now..and if you want to get serious, buy an outboard xover and EQ..notice how much bigger they are then your deck... Although I cant back it up, I dont beleive an all in one deck is as good as the huge processors you can buy seperatly.

Also, I dont beleive EQ's with only a fiew bands (lets say 7 or 10) can really help you system all that much.

 

^ actually, minimal adjustment of the EQ is always best.

5 band parametric will do everything you need.

The need for a 30 band 1/3 oct eq is only essential for an RTA [img]graemlins/jammin.gif[/img]

 

well im not that serious into audio yet... im into sq, but around here as far as i know there arent any sq competitions... i wouldnt get a 30 band eq or anything, im not that picky... i just dont like that the eclipse has it's bass centered at 100hz... which isnt great for my sub since my amp doesnt have bass boost of any sort...

i think ive decided on keeping the eclipse thou... thanks for all the input guys...
