Efficient Amp to run one JL Audio 12W1v2

Hey Guys

I'm looking to find a efficient amp to run a JL Audio 12W1v2 sub in a sealed box. I just bought the car and it is already pre-wired with a Clarion 4V Pre-out deck, single RCA wire and small guage power wire. I believe it's 10 guage. What can 10 guage wire handle?

What do you guys recommend?

125 - 250 watts from any amp can drive that sub with the type of wires in the vehicle supplied to you.

A JL 250/1 would fit the bill nicely!

10 AWG is probably too small if you're getting into 200 watts or so. Go with at least 8 AWG.

I'm with Grep. You should upgrade your wiring for any amp that you buy. As far as efficient amps go any class D, G/H, and T designs are good. The JL 250/1 would be a good choice.
