i bought some thump 8's this past weekend for my boat, the subs come with no spec sheet in them so I have no clue what kinda box to build, generally what kinda size box am I looking for with a average 8"?

My old Radio Shack 8" sub worked pretty nicely in around .3 cubes sealed. You should be fine around there, probably.
