Energy Car Audio

I'm wondering if anyone knows first hand, or knows of where I can find, more detailed technical information about Energy car audio products. I have only been able to find the information available on Future Shop's website, and I know that they're exclusive distributor of Energy car audio. But I would very much like to get some more details on their stuff, that I can't seem to find anywhere else, including Energy's website.

I have listened to the speakers, and find them quite to my liking, but the only time I've heard the 12" sub, it was just in a generic box which didn't help it to sound good at all, so I'm not sure if I'd like to go that route. There was a pair of 10"s in a decent box, and they sounded better than their larger counterpart, but still not convinced that their subs are very good.

If anyone has any more information on this stuff, I'd love to see it. Thanks!

It is more important to get the rigth box...so if the price is good for you, the get the best box you can pay....I have seen 20 bucks woofers booming!!! in good boxes(vented mostly)...remember to get the rigth match with the amp.

I agree that its all in the box. I put my friends old *** Rockford P1's (two tens) in a slot port box I had made for 2 12's, we just made a new front baffle and dropped them in. They are getting 250rms for the pair and I am amazed at how well his car pounds. Put a 800 dollar sub in a poorly designed box, it won't sound that good.

I agree as well, a custom box is what this sub desires. My problem lies in that I have no reference of the Theile-Small parameters of the sub, as I cannot find much of ANY info on the drivers. Any help on finding those values would be greatly appreciated.

That's where I'm working right now, so maybe I'll delve a little deeper into the mystery tomorrow at work.

Well I'm sorry you still work there.
Gentec also has very poor service.
