I was thinking about purchasing one...either 2002 or above. How is it for sound? Are there any rattles I should know about? I HATE rattles....after living with a saturn, who wouldnt?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

I'll be honest, I'm pretty cynical about Escalades. It's a glorified Yukon/Tahoe/Avalanche. I'm not really sure why it's so much more special than say a Yukon Denali, which is alreay all luxuried-out with leather, fake wood, and all the electric bells and whistles. Last time I checked, any new Escalade was $79k and up What is the 10-20k extra buying you except the same vehicle built on the same assembly line as the same workers building that base model Tahoe? You aren't getting anything better than Chevy quality, I'm pretty sure of that.

Anyway, rattles? It probably has more sound deadner stuffed in it then a regular SUV but a used one will probably have a few rattles here and there since it's a GM. Take a few for a drive and find out.

10-20k gets you a Cadillac. It's a prestige thing I guess, plus all the rap songs mention the Escalade...that's got to be worth a few G's!

Meh, get a Pathfinder or 4 Runner, if you want an out of date veh then by anymeans, definately go for a gm/ford/chrysler.

the Escalade is like the w7 overpriced and over hyped. they are great products but similar prformace / luxury can be found at a cheaper price. but thats besides the point.

yes there will be a few rattles but nothing a bit of foam tape shouldnt be able to fix
