I've decided to build a ported box, and i'm wondering about the excursion ratings of the box, is mine too high? the red line the is the sub xmax, and my alpine amp supposedly has a 15 hz subsonic filter. (its an mrp-m350). right now i havn't added the 15hz subsonic filter in winisd.

 

hmmm you will probably be OK... most subs have additional travil past linear xmax and you arn't going to find too many tracks with heavy bass notes under 25hz anyway.....

If you are still concearned try tuning a little lower then 35hz or get a 'subsonic' filter you can set higher then 15hz......
