Factory Deck

I was just wondering, could I hook up an Amp and Sub to a factory deck?

I don't think so because I took my 1999 van's deck out and their was no RCA's. However, I don't know about the newer vehicules thow? With all the options they offer, they could have a "sub out" setting right?

If not, I will probably pay for a nice Kenwood deck or something.

By the way this is for my dads x-mas gift.

there are a few options for doing that, cheaply you could just buy a couple LOC's Line Output Converters (i think they're called) and run that off the existing speaker wires the LOC has an output of RCA....then you can run an amp

..more expensively there are a few options as well, and they sound better (or can) like the JL cleensweep, and ummm Alpine's new one somethingsomething 650.....and a couple others you'll have to look up cuz i cant think of them

I suggest picking up a Re-Q. re-Q - Take control of your factory stereo!
