Question

I was wanting to put the factory tape deck back in my 98 Sunfire.But when i do so nothing happens the factory wireing harness hasnt been touched. i do know it needs a code.I dont wanna take it to the dealer for somethin this simple.Does anyone know what the code might be and how to enter it....???? Thanx.

on my honda the code is on the door of trunk (prelude) so check their of under the hood or on the door where the tag is. may even be in the owners manual.

the only way its locked is if somebody did it
dealer or the person that owned the car are the only people that can help you

if you have no power you have a power problem
if the decks locked it will come up loc on the display
also you can tell if its locked is that when the key is off the red led will flash
if the light dosn't flash the code is not entered

So just because i disconnected it and put it away and then hooked it back up.That wouldnt activate it to lock..? So it should of worked.I will have to try it again. Thanx..

If it is displaying loc on the face, follow these steps:

1 disconnect deck
2 turn key to on
3 reconnect deck
4 enjoy the prime sound from a factory GM system
