Just wondering if anyone could suggest some different ways to hold my amp down. I've had it sitting under my rear seat forever now and just never got a chance or thought of a way to hold it down. It slides around sometimes and slides out from under there when I break hard.

I saw someone with an Explorer like mine and he had some straps over the top of it, but I am not sure how he had them fastened down. I'd prefer not to screw into the carpet so I am stuck as to how to hold it down.

I'm sure this is an easy problem to solve I'm just really not sure how to hold her down!

The only thing I can suggest is fasten it to the box Joe, or your gonna have to drill into that nice clean carpet.

Well, I'd prefer not to drill holes into the box either.

get a larg piece of velcro. stick the rough side to the amp and it should stick to the carpet under the seat. Worked for my 1/2 ton.

The velcro would work, but the amp does get quite warm so I'd be concerened about it coming unfastened after a period of time. The rack is a nice idea. But, I'm not quite sure that I have the knowledge to do something like that. At least not very well. lol!

I second the velcro. I've used strips of velcro in all my setups, cause i'm sure there's a gastank somewhere underneath int he back of my vehicle and never wanted to screw into the floor for that reason.

My one amp gotta pretty toasty in the +40C weather while sitting in my trunk and it never came apart from the velcro strips.

Hell my sub box keeps tipping over (was made for the car not the jeep, and when i hit the breaks it was sometimes flipping forward onto the subs face (uh oh), but yeah velcro'd the box down and it's been golden, even after very minorly rear ending someone!

man, just put a piece of mdf under that carpet and drill it into that. Putting screws through the carpet into wood wont leave noticable marks and its simple to do and works.
