So can someone explain this to me. That thing will allow you to use your stock cdplayer and add an amp and other things and make your speakers sound alot better i am confused but that is from being tired

it still doesnt allow u to replace your OEM head unit that has like 20 things intergrated into it for a nice after market one......so?

What the unit does is solve the problem of using OEM headunits with high quality aftermarket components. Most car companies use built-in equalization in their headunits to make their systems sound more dynamic. This allows them to compensate for cheap speakers and the size and shape to the interior.

The unit itself uses the data on the CD to calibrate the DSP unit to boast and cut frequencies of the incoming signal which causes the unit to restore the signal to the original. This will be a crucial component in new vehicles without DIN shaped headunits...
