you my friend had best get a grip on what it takes to do an install that requires every wire to be techflexed and mounted every 6" as well as sound deaden the entire interior including floor and ceiling and inner and outer doors, as well as fab a new battery tray out of aluminum, powder coat it. do a nice distribution block mount. you can duct tape and half *** you jobs, we dont, and i charge 50/hour and have no problem getting it. if you could build that exact install in one week, i would supply you with the car, the shop all the materials and all the gear and 5 8 hours days to do it by yourself. im not kidding , bring it on big shot, put your skills where your mouth is chump, otherwise, you are just another big mouth that hasnt shown one ounce of your install ability but feels qualified to pass judgement on something you have no ability to do yourself, until such time as you either show something or take me up on my offer, you comments are worthless

audiovault, you very well may be right, i always like to err on the side of over reaction, although in this case, i dont think i did, i just gave him a option to back up him statements

 

i have used lots of glue but never that type, but i will give it a shot. over the years i have really gotten to like the baseball seam, i dunno, just me. we have our sewing done by gordons upholstery, we just found out that he has cancer and will be going in to surgery tomorrow to remove a tumor from behind his left, ive noticed it for years but obvi;sly didnt say anything, maybe i should have, if you arent a fan of the baseball seam you isnt gonna like the neon, with the material we used(didnt even stretch one way) there was alot of seams required, but in my car that type of seam is all over the seats from factory so it will be alright

 

Well the grilles (when they go on) should cover the ugly tweeter screws. I personally like the baseball stitching, but to me I don't like the placement of it. If it didn't go under the tweet I would like it better. Another product to try for gluing inside seams (or anything for that matter) is Select Products heat activated glue. It gets plenty hot here (I would say the same or hotter than the Okanogin) but it is dry, so my experience may ot be totally indicative of what would happen there. But I hear alot of shops in the southern U.S. use it, and it never comes apart there, and it is way hotter and humid that Kelowna down there.

Also it is the stuff you can't see that takes time, that's what matters to true professionals, sure any half good installer could slap an install that looks exactly like that together in a few days, but how long would it last and how good would it sound? Also how well would it do in a competition? Probably not very well. The main thing to remember with posting pics of competition cars on the net, and getting brutally honest opinions is that you can use them to maybe change things before a judge ever gets to see it. Heck If I would have seen Gary Biggs car before finals I could have told him his fiberglass seat inserts were crooked!
