use fiber-fill, it's got little strands of fiberglass in it and it will help stop the cracking...also make sure the bondo doesn't cure too fast or it will crack as well. (too much heat or catalyst)

Definitely too much hardner, being in the body business if you have to take it out and start over fiber bond will be a pain to pull out, so get it right the first time.
