Focal vs Macrom

Xtant stuff was not built by macrom. They do not offer components anymore. but the older stuff was made by morel.
Morel iseral. That was the integra line. No Xtant was not made by Macrom.
The new line is way better in cosmetics and build quality.

Thanks for the help everyone. I tried looking for any other macrom related sites or forums and very little came up in english.
I must say that I am impressed with the service already provided by both dealers I am looking at. It is refreshing not to hear either of them discrediting or bashing any other product lines.
Again just wanted to say thanks.

I have some old(~6 years) Macroms (M5s?) in my old RX-7 that I bought back when I lived in the Hat. I really like them, one of the best car speakers I heard, almost as good as my Dynaudio's, but the retail on the Macroms was less than half of my Dynaudios.

Personally - I have not heard the new Macrom but any contact I have had with Morel products in the past has been fantastic and the fact that there once was an association and the look of the new product are enuf for me to believe them world class. On the other hand, while I have heard excellent Focal cars I have heard some setups that I was not so happy with. Both are excellent brands.

You're right Dukk, it is hard to bash either brand. It has just been my experience that as soon as you start talking about anything your salesman doesn't sell they quickly start saying how much better their product is with little to no evidence of truth. They just to sell what they stock. Then again I have run into a lot of bad salesmen.

I'm actually good friends with your predecessor, did you ever know Rick Jiang? He did installs for FS a few years back. He's the one that introduced me to both the Macroms and Dynaudio.
I spent hours with him setting up his Dyn's in his 300zx.

Tino's isn't as good as it used to be, but it's still better than all the other fast food places.
Ty is still plugging away, he is completely out of car audio, just home theater and 2 channel now.
I knew Ricky pretty good, known him since he had his Camaro way back in the day. I was the first guy in the Hat with all the newer Soundstream Amps, I had three Class A 6.0's, I am not sure if you ever saw my Jetta with them in there, I know Ricky did and I think that's what sold him on SS.
