All I listen to is country music, and I have 4 12's in a ported box...it sounds awsome, I also have a sealed box which sounds equally as good. My box building skills aren't quite as good as some of the other people on here but you should definetly screw the box together and also use some kind of adhesive (wood glue) as well.

It means the clash of opinions. LOL
It all depends on what you're after. But a good sub in a properly built box will sound excellent on the correct power range.

alright...sealed box it is..
now if i could only decide what subs.
JBL GTO's
or
Earthquake SWS's
i think if i i went with the SWS's then i would do 2 10"...but if i went with the JBL's i would do 2 12" or 2 15"(if i can fit 15...not sure yet)
now i know the earthquakes are way better subs...obviously...but i don't know if i can justify the price difference...the JBL's are easy on the wallet...the earthquakes not so much.
what amp would i be looking at if i got the SWS's?or the JBL's?

I'd say a prefabbed box with a couple of 10"Kicker Comps and a ZX300.1 if you really need that back seat. As for sealed or ported, proper porting=more output.
With that under the back seat install, you haven't the room to port, ported enclosures are usually double the size of sealed ones.
I properly designed and installed enclosure is much more important then brand choice. Especially with in the restrictions of this install.
It takes experience and skill to make a great box not just wood, glue, and a saw.
