I was at futureshop yesdterday and there was a panasonic mp3 deck for $199. Its only missing the wire harness. It is the new style of deck, rotary volume ****, dual pre-outs, changer control.

I think I might pick it up later this week, I just want some opinons on if you think this is a good deal for $200?

The model of the deck is A Panasonic CQ-DF783U

make sure that you can get a wire harness for it before you buy it. sometimes they can get pricey. i have a couple contacts at panasonic canada should you need a harness. good luck

 

Sounds okay, but if you plan to add a processor or eq later, you might need more than two preouts.

 

I had a friend that had an 8 year old Panasonic tape deck, managed to pick up one from an A&B Sound install bay for $15. Panasonic wanted around $45 I think it was, for a harness.

 

i know on some kenwood dekcs, the harness is universal... so maybe if find a deck in a pawn shop or somethin like that snagg it ahah ( DONT DO THAT) but liek if you have a pani deck just try your harness on it and see if it poweres up and if so then there you go..
