head unit with internal storage

are there any head units that have their own music storage such as a hard drive? no optical drive, just a hard drive, I'd buy one if it was a decent price
right now I find even the MP3 cd's aren't large enough, next option is a dvd system, that almost does it for me as I would only need three dvd's to hold my entire collection but I'm just wondering about an ultimate solution

Off the top od my head, Rockford Fosgate had a system out a few years back with a large drive and wireless technology( you could send your music files via wireless to your Rockford unit in the car in the garage). I think Clarion still has a music catcher system in some of their decks, though I don't think it holds much more than a cd. I would look at JVC's DVD giga mp3 system in some of thier decks(plays mp3 encoded files burned on a dvd disc, allows for up to 2000 songs per disc). Alpine, Kenwood and I believe pioneer all had or still may have hard disc decks available only a few years back. If you look around I'm sure you'll be able to find something. There's always the 60 gig Ipod route also...

I think the new Pioneer AVIC-Z1 has a hard drive in it that's removeable. Of course it has a disc slot too.
