help with bending ports

wuts the port end correction thingy when u bend a port without using the wall of the enclosure? i read jl's tutorial thingy and i didnt understand one bit.

thats just the end part that goes on the end of there flex port technology line...it kinda looks like a horn round and cupped like

meh? ok. i have 2 4.5x5 inch ports. they have to be 31 inches long each. so...if break it down into 3 separate pieces could i make it like this??

one part is 11 inches long
2nd part is 13 inches long extending upwards
3rd part is going back to the front 7 inches.

kinda like a big U shaped port thingy. i dont think my port length is right. help me please

xxx12. 3 cubes. about 34hz. daily driver. i didnt want one of those big slot ports on the side cuz the sub will be right in the middle of the box. so....i needed a port on each side to cut down on port mach. thanks
