Help choosing Amp
Hello,
New here and new to upgrading car audio. I need help deciding if I'm looking at the correct amp for the subs I bought.
So I have 2 12" Hifonics HFX12D4 subwoofers. They're rated at 800W max and 400W RMS. Dual Voice Coil. and 4 ohm.
the amp i'm looking at is the Pioneer GM-D8601. The info is:
RMS Power Rating:
4 ohms: 300 watts x 1 chan.
2 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan.
1 ohm: 800 watts x 1 chan.
Max power output: 1500 watts x 1 chan.
Is this the right choice in amp for my subs? I'm not knowledgeable at all at matching subs and amps. If this amp is a bad choice then what would be a reasonably priced amp that would work?
Thank you for your time to read this!
