Help choosing subs

Hey guys im new to the forums but have been reading for awhile. Im looking to purchase a sub or subs for my latest install. going in a 99 accord. sub amp is rockford T1500bdcp. My first two thoughts are either 2 SA12s or 1 Rockford T2. Budget for subs is ~425.00. Any opinions would be great help in making a decision.

How much space you have to work with, height, width and depth?

What is your goal? Sound quality or spl (output), or a mixture of both?

Mixture of both for sure. One minute I'm jamming to dirks Bentley, next Paul wall, next volbeit......lol! Standard four door accord, give me a minute and I will get some measurements.

With that power, your goal and budget, I would do this XCON 15 Sound Solutions Audio 15" 1750W XCON Series Subwoofer - SSA STORE

In my opinion the r/f T2 is not worth the money, and to get the full output from 2 sa's 12 you will need a little more power.

I contemplated a single 15 but the more I read up on forums the more I came across "cone is king". Correct me if I'm wrong but I tend to think logically. If we had identical brand subs (2 12s or one 15) on the same amp same car, wouldn't the two twelves sound better? If all the parameters where the same? I'm somewhat new to this so your input is awesome!

Damn thing is I almost bought the T2500 just for the headroom but it would have killed me having that amp and no subs to hook up to it! Plus big electrical upgrades would have needed to have been done right away. I admit I am impatient!

Sounding better is subjective, however, if the subs are identical brand and model but differ in the sense of 2 12's compared to 1 15, then assuming all conditions are right (power and enclosure), the 2 12's would have more output, due to more cone area.

The xcon excursion would be much more than the T2, T2=19 mm xmax vs the xcon=31 mm. I recommend the xcon because it has a good mixture of sq and output.

Haha, I hear ya on the exited part.

You can also look into fi subs.
