HELP! getting stock deck out

I remember when I first got my car it had a keyed lugnut on each wheel and I didn't have the key. The Ford dealership wouldn't sell me the key, nor would they let me borrow it. I ended up paying $40 to replace four lugnuts, effectively a two minute job for these guys. That's my little experience with manufacturer dealerships at least.
I suggest you keep on trying. A problem I had when removing my deck was that the keys (bent coathanger) were in too far so that the springs weren't being pressed at all. I suggest you try putting them in only about an inch and a half, maybe less, and see if it'll go. The springs for some reason are surprisingly stiff on Ford decks for some reason. Oh and your coathanger pieces should look something like what's shown in the link JeepBeats posted
