Help Identifying JL Sub

Hmm, I was thinking of going with something like this to power it:
Alpine MRP-M500 (mrpm500) Mono Subwoofer Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio and Video - Sonic Electronix

Would that be a good choice? And would 300watts RMS be enough for this sub or should I go with something like 500watts?

If the sub is wired at 3ohms, you should get closer to 400w out of that amp....it would work fine, but the sub will handle more power than that....

This amp would probably be a better match for the sub......you can get them from a dealer here in Ontario and have a warranty to boot....
