Help me choose a 8" Sub

I've narrowed it down to 3 choices:

ID8V http://www./spec.php?type=encspec&id=ID8D2%20V.3

ED9K.2
http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?t=2&products_id=29

RE8
http://www.reaudio.com/specs.html#sp_re

I want more of a SQ sub. Anyone tried these subs before and can provide some feedback?

worked with the ID 8" a few times. I was always impressed with the output and it sounds pretty nice. Hard pressed to tell me that it is not a 10" when you hear one going.

My $0.02

JBL GTO series. Smartass carries them. No complaints from this sub.

Seconded. You can get them from Aaron at www.soundsolutionsaudio.com as well and I believe Kyle at www.acoustic-visions.com. The RL-i8 is the best 8" I have heard.

The Rl-I8 mounting depth is too deep for where I'm planning on placing them, in the footwell. Right now eD seems like what I might go with.

may want to check out the MTX t5500 series 8". They sound great and are not monstrous...so they might fit as well.

Lightbulb

I have a 1st gen RE8 with the single 2ohm coil. No complaints at all - very nice woofer and very inexpensive.

I'd also recommend the MTX 5500 series 8. I run 4 of these right now and they both sound great and take a beating (important for an 8)

The T5500 look nice, but it's a .5 ft3 enclosure. I have a .5 already in my footwell and want to move to something smaller to provide more space for the passenger. I looked at these 3 subs because from the forums, everyone's had good things to say about them, and can fit in .35 ft3 enclosures.

This is the second time I will recommend one of their products, but have you considered the Ascendant Audio Assassin?
