help me choose an amp for my 15" re sx

An amp is key, no doubt. Same with the head unit. Before I went out and bought a line driver to use just on a sub amp, I would look at a cd player with a high line output voltage instead. It does not make any sense to use two items to do what one can. Another item to install, more wiring, the chance of noise etc. Consider a different cd player in this case. Are you ever going to be adding a second sub that is identical to the one you have now? This is something that needs to be considered when we recommend an amp to you.

We brought in a Scosche EFX amp for a customer yesterday to drive his DD2512 with. The EFX HD5001 proved to be a fricken tank. 805w rms into two ohms (birth sheet) and it comes in way under what you were looking to spend.

hmm. interesting. I was going to go witha top of line headunit[no flipout bull] just a stout headunit. now I know what to look for in one. should I be looking for 8volt preouts? at the moment it will be a single sub setup.once I know how to do everything properly with this new setup chances are I would be going way bigger, so no second sub would be added to this system. oh I am also planning on running a second battery to . I already picked up a regulator. I want to this right, no capacitor just an awesome second battery along with the big three. The scosche looks awesome. Whats the SQ like with one of those? thanks for all the help

You don't necessarily have to have a 8 volt preout cd player. However, if you are a do it right the first time kind of person, then by all means I would show you the Eclipse CD5000 for this task. You have tons of great choices in front of you. What is important is that the items you choose are properly matched together.
