help me upgrade!

hi guys i just recently got a system put in, 2 12" kicker cvrs powered by a kicker 1000.1 amp, i got the subs in the kicker box designed for them, my issue is even tho i think they are pretty loud, i feel like i want more bass and im probably going to sell the 2 12's, and keep the box for now, what subs should i consider purchasing? i'm really interested in the Fi Q's, im looking to spend 200-300 per sub. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How much room for subs have you got? If you want bass DD will definitely deliver. While I am not a fan of used subs at all, the deal above on the used ones is good one. The trick is to have the power to run them to their potential. Are you staying with the amp that you have now? Does your alternator and battery system have the ability to drive such a system?

No point in going into big massive subs if you do not plan on going into a bigger amp to power them and then upgrading the power delivery from alternator right back to the amp. A pair of DD2512 in the right slot ported box would easily give you the cravings for bass that you desire. You can go bigger into the 3512 if you like and run them as best as the amp will allow if you plan on upgrading the amp and power system at a later date.

i plan on doing the big 3 upgrade pretty soon here, the amp is only temporary until i can get a second one, or sell the kicker amp for a better amp, so for now im just upgrading the subwoofers.

I installed a pair of Mach 5 IXL 12's this summer and off of 750rms they did a 141.0. Not bad for a SQ woofer. well worth the money IMO.
