Help this noobie build a system please?

Hey every1, I am new to the wrold of car audio systems and look forward to learning alot about the car audio world from you experts.

I buying a 1991 or 1992 caddy sedan devil and want to put in a sound system. Heres what I am looking for.

2 x 12" sub + box
2 x 6x9's
1 x deck
1 x amp

How much will this cost me if I buy used low end stuff like sony xplods etc.

Why in the world do you want 6x9's? Leave the rear speakers alone and get some decent fronts.

Get a 4 channel amp, hook up the fronts to channels 1+2, run the subs off channels 3+4, deck power to the rear speakers.

Sound way better than what it looks like you may be up to over there.

Contact one of the site guys here, Smartass, MR2NR and a few others are helpful and can get you the right gear you need. You don't even need to go with sony stuff. One sub will cut your costs quite a bit and sond just as nice if you get a good one rather than 2 junkers.

Just my $0.02..

i did my whole system under 500bux and it sounds really nice you just have to look aroundbut i would say a 4 channel for your speaks and a monoblock for the subs and replace your fronts as well
