Okay, here's my situation....I had a 300 Watt amp hooked up to my car before that was powering up 2 10' subs at 400 Watts each. I changed the amp to an 800 Watt amp and now I'm having some problems. It's a 4 channel mixer. My amp powers off when I put it loud. Well actually, it's not even that loud. It will just shut off when I start to crank it up. I know that the wiring from the amp to the battery only has 1 fuse.
Can someone tell me why the amp just shuts off? I seem to have this problem a lot during the winter time if that makes any difference.

Someone please help me. Thanks

The amp is going into protection.
Make sure your amp is stable at the impedence you are running your subs at.

Go to a car audio dealer and have them check it out for you.....Be prepared for some jokes about the Pyramid amp.

make sure all connections are good and the amp is seeing 12v+ at its power terminals and speaker wires are not shorted..

Otherwise it could have blown components or a bum protection ciruit...
