Help with wiring mess
I got my replacement harness coming out of my car to install now from smartass (much appreciated btw). The only thing is, the old harness from the kenwood is hardwired in there. Heres the problem though, I would just chop of the kenwood harness and replace it with my new one, but I think the wires are too short to work around on the inside. Should I just leave the kenwood on there, and tap into those, or should I do my best to see if I can keep the crimping connections to a minimum (2 instead of 3). It might be kind of hard to understand what I am talking about, so on Friday when I'm not working I will get a pic or two to clarify if necessary.

1996 golf. The old deck install that came with it looked good, until I saw it was hardwired. Might just have to bite the bullet, and do my best to connect the harness to the original wires coming out. Might be tough with my big mitts, but I think it is doable. I just like everything to be clean. Worst case scenario, I've been busy and I'll just see if my buddy can get me a good rate on my system. Haven't had much time to do anything so far this summer.
