I was wondering what people thought of the new Hertz audio speakers (particularly the hi energy 6.5 component set). I am looking into getting them and want some opinions.
also, are there any Dealers in the Lower Mainland that carry them?
Thx ,D!ck Cranium.

Hertz is owned by Electtromedia, the same parent company that owns Audison and Focal. Linky: http://www.elettromedia.it/
My local Audison dealer is bringing in Hertz as well as the Audison cable which looks yummy

I saw a the same test report from Germany, but I think you may be mistaken on the results. If it was the same review from CAR & HIFI test magazine from Germany (January / February 2005).
In Europe they dont review in the same manner. They actually add points to your score for being worse, so essentially the lowest score on the review is actually the best rated item - in this case speakers.
The speakers reviewed were Focal 165A, DLS PS6A, Eton RS160, Carpower Neoset 165, Hertz HSK165.3 and the Soundstream XSC-6.
I happen to have a copy of this review thats how I know the results.
The Hertz speakers had the lowest overall score resulting in a first place finish, second place was a tie between the Eton and DLS speakers, third was a tie between the remaining four brands.
Keep in mind that these speakers are under $400 Canadian. You have to give them a listen to, they are a killer speaker for under $400.
Speaker City in Vancouver - Performance Car Stereo in North Vancouver - Cartunes in Coquitlam and Soundworks in Burnaby are all currently authorized dealers in the lower mainland.
Stop by one of those stores and get a listen and review them for yourselves.
They have three levels of higher end speakers too, that should be arriving at those dealers soon.
Sorry, I logged on as Elliot.

Just a quick clarification - Hertz is designed and engineered by Elettromedia (Italy) and manufactured off shore - they do not own Focal (France) - they act as a Distributor for Focal in Italy, they do not have any OEM business with Car Manufacturers...

In my Opinion ive listened to Focal and other wanna be speakers But for the price of Hertz you can't go wrong. I've run the hsk 165 off Audison's Srx 4 and the sound is incredible! you can push these speakers to the point of distortion. Does any one have any info on Audison's Srx 1d Amp though?
