I happen to have a pretty nice laptop (Dell Latitude C600) so the video part of it is worked out, but what about the audio? I know I can get a 1/8" mini to RCA stereo adapter but will the headphone output have enough voltage to drive my amp?

I've never used a CD-walkman so I wouldnt know
My head unit doesnt have any input besides one for a CD changer FYI

What I was thinking is just run a set of RCA cables direct from my laptop to my 4-channel amp if that would work (which is what I meant by the question about if the headphone jack would provide enough input voltage to get the amp going)

I used my AudioBahn from my computer using the headphone to rca works very well, the gain on the amp was at 1/4 if that bass boost off and it get plenty loud for my house... soo I would assume the output should be the same from a laptop

Sweet that's all I wanted to know. And actually the headphone output on my laptop is a helluva lot stronger than the one from my PC. Now I must go to Rat Shack

Thnx

Suhweet it works!

Four point sound and LOTS of rumble. Plus it doubles as a ****ty MP3 player (windows media player SUCKS) Does it earn the ghetto seal of approval?

Can't see the deck behind the laptop, but you should be able to get a Changer to Aux input adaptor for your deck. All the major manufacturers make one and it will make things look a little less ghetto.

Scratch that, don't think Panasonic makes one. Anyone know if you can "trick" a Panni changer input like a sony?
