What amperage HO Alternator?

Does anybody know where I can find a reasonably priced high output alternator for my 88' Mustang 5.0?
Can you get them rewound for a higher output or should you just buy a new one?
Also what amperage rating would be okay for running around 2000 rms street beating with a deep cycle battery and 2 gauge wiring?
Thanks.

I think kicker colt or whatever his name is on here makes some pretty good ho alts. I would get a new one rather than trying to rewind. Also, go 0 guage and maybe even another deep cycle in the trunk.

I am happy with the CS-144 alternator I purchased from Raymond at SVA, plus he was very good to deal with.

Later,
