...i went to the shop.he showed me the focals and the morels............I then went on a frantic search for the best deal i could find...
What price did the shop have on them? Is it so much more than online that you don't think local service is worth it? It seemed worth it when you needed to audition them...

I have no trouble with buying from my local shop which is top notch.(Selective Sound).I will be buying from a combo of them and mr2nr.I'm way too unsure of hidden fees and tne fact i have no one to scream at if something goes wrong. The problem I'm facing is install price ...I just dont understand after product where the money goes if everyone keeps saying it's so easy to install a stereo.I am dealing with a Jag which has it's own set of audio upgrade problem's.I have no problem speding more to get quality equipment and will be using canadian retailer's but the install is what would stop me in my tracks make me not buy the equipment and we all lose...I sure do miss my money tree

I've heard Morel & Hertz, they're both great, couldn't believe the clarity.

regardless of the ease of install, it will still take time.
and shops are not going to charge you by the difficulty of install, it will be by the hour most likely. so even though people say its easy, and for the most part it is, its still going to set you back to get a shop to install.

buy it from your local place and save youself the install fee if need be, you will be installing yourself anyways if you buy online. but as you said, if something goes wrong, there is no one to scream at. so keep that in mind

I agree, both Focal and Morel are nice speakers and sound great. So does Hybrid Audio. They are easily right up there with the others. I've heard 420guys Clarions, they put a smile on my face as I didn't expect what I was hearing from them. They sounded really good for "Clarion". lol And taking a good amount of power too.

As for install, you could likely work something out with Selective Sound on install, or there are MANY capable people on this forum that live in your area, that I'm sure would be willing to help you out. PM me, if you want a couple names.
