How to add a AUX conection to CD Deck??

Does anyone know if you can take a regular Deck and open it up and add a AUX attachment? if anyone knows a web site that may say that would be awsome. anything would be great. pictures would help alot if anyone has them.

Thanks

In theory you can.. the hassle may outweigh the cost of just getting a deck with aux in.

What make and model of deck..

There are generic FM Modulators that can be "hardwired" into any radio, factory or aftermarket. Most vehicles will need 2 antenna adapters to make it work (not to mention to time to install it). It is the closest thing to a true aux-in.

i was thinking that i may beable to take one of those ipod radio transceivers and takeing it apart and taking the little radio wire and soddering it to the antana?

i was hopeing there would be a easy was to add AUX. like maybe opening up the deck and soddering in a aux to a paticular place.

Most certainly not that simple. Some head units have the option of adding aux to them if you have the proprietary hardware, but that's not all decks. What do you have for a head unit? The other option is the one I suggested. Dismantling an iPod adapter defeats the purpose of finding a simple way to add aux lol What you are trying to accomplish with that suggestion was already done with the adapter I posted up. So... Options? 1. What deck do you have? It may have the option of adding aux; 2. Use the aux adapter (or something similar) that I suggested; 3. Buy a new deck with it already built in.

If your deck can be set to a radio station and has an antenna-in connection at the back, it will work. That kit is for 99.99% of car radios, factory or not
