I am not saying I have the most powerful system here but with "turn it down" as an answer thats just a smart *** answer so I replied with something smart. I would love to find a real answer that isn't ghetto and I thought somebody around here might know because it has to be an issue with somebody around here but I guess it's not because nobody has a solution. Pins look like crap so me because I know they are there. Well whatever, I shouldn't ask question here.

ask a stupid question and get a stupid answer..... your 1st post should have included the fact that you have a beemer with some automatic BS rearview....

My advice now, is to try what dukk suggested... or quit being such a ... take the rearview out and drive 10k/h faster and just not give a ****....

I am being a ? Also how did I ask a stupid question? I think it's a good question. I am looking at my legs when I look into my rear view mirror. Maybe your into that but I am not.

Like I said whatever. Been to these forums for many years and never had a problem asking a question and getting a good answer. I guess times have changed, alot.

I wouldn't say you asked a stupid question, but you have recieved every possible answer to you question and have dismissed them all. So don't say anything about not getting good answers, because you got them.

As I said live with it and it will look just the way it does. When you need to use your mirrors turn it down, it is as simple as that. Done using your mirrors turn it up. Also you mentioned that it wasn't safe diving with your mirrors all crazy, but it is also unsafe to dive with your music cranked up. You can't hear things like sirens, horns, etc making "it's just not safe" as you have said.

I dismissed the glue because I just don't want to do that. If I drove a 89 ford that wouldn't be an issue. I guess there is nothing I can do so I will leave the pins in it.

It is safe for me to listen to music at the volume I do. I can still hear horns and sirens. I don't play it at the level where I can't hear anything.

you said it is a bmw ? yes
then look to see if the mirror moves when the car is in R
you may have a wire crost to the mirror
there is 3 places where the bmw has swiches
1 Tyranny
2 at the mirror
3 at the shifter
it may not be the sub -the sub may play a part in it
