ive seen a glass shop remove a rear view
mirror mount with a cig lighter by heating the
glass from the outside as for the wiring...
headliner seems the like the best place as any.
if you dont want to remove the mirror i would
suggest epoxy on the pivot ball.

There are 3 simple fixes - tighten a setscrew if the mirror has it, glue the mirror in place, and turn it down. What were you expecting? "Mirror tightening spray?"
Sure if you wanted to get into it a bit more you could disassemble the mirror, treat the pivot ball in some way - coat it with a layer of clear paint, rough it up, whatever, and put it back together but this would entail removing the mirror from the car. Plus it would probably mess with the auto dimmer.
man that's what I love about this board he wanted help.... HE got sarcastic replys, HE replied sarcasticly, yet the hammer falls on him..... Cool...I have the same problem in my Saturn and gluing is not an option as I share the car with the wifey so she needs to move it when she drives..... I just leave it but lately it's gettin annoying....
The hammer always falls on me. I am just used to it now. I knew I was going to get stupid answers when I asked but I thought I would ask anyways.
For me, it wasn't safe. I need to be able to see behind me.
I can take the subwoofers out, keep it down, get crappy stuff so my mirrors don't move but those aren't options.
I drive a bmw. I also have an alarm sensor on my mirror so glue just isn't an option
