If you pay by CC, they will ship it wherever you want LOL. But you are better off using PayPal. There is one on eBay for $320 free shipping. My guy in NF charges $5.95 per parcel and holds it indefinitely. Taxes at the border will be 13% (just like here but it's 13% on substantially lower cost), so let's say ~$40 bucks tax. So for $370 plus maybe $10 bucks in gas you're done. And while you're down there, may as well stop and have some Buffalo wings.
I will need it held for almost a week probably depending on shipping.
and its going to be over 50lbs

Ok guys, I'm gonna answer all the questions and confirm all the answers to this thread as I am still a certified customs broker and I am one of the guys that you all used to hate at fedex trade networks.
1. For gifts anything that has a value of over $60 CAD will be charged taxes. So if the value is $100CAD you will be charged taxes on the $40CAD provided that is clearly stated GIFT on the commmercial invoice.
2. Any product manufactured in U.S.A., Canada, and Mexico that is being shipped from U.S.A., Canada, and Mexico to U.S.A., Canada and Mexico will be exempted from duties. The exception to this rule is if there are any parts in the product that is not manufactured in any of these three countries. A prime example of this is an amplifier. The parts are from build houses overseas.
3.Self Clearance is the best thing to avoid brokerage fees as Yuli stated. It will not matter whom the courier is as long as the vendor aka. shipper states on commercial invoice in bold letters( and there is a specific spot for this on the cci) CUSTOMER WILL SELF CLEAR. Once the package comes in and the broker sees this then they will contact the customer(sometimes they don't see it and sometime they don't contact the customer so this is why you have to trace your package via tracking number) and let you know where to go to pay the taxes and/or duties if applicable. Hope this answers all yours questions. If you have more then please feel free to post them here and I will try as best to answer them for you. I have tried to explain the points in this thread as simply as possible so if you don't understand then you never will cause I can guarantee that my 11 year old can.

SO I would simply ask the ebay seller to put CUSTOMER WILL CLEAR PACKAGE (where?) and if they do that, the customs guy catches and sees that, will he call my cell phone and ask me questions or.... what do I have to actually "clear" lol
If I can avoid the $50 duty fee I get everytime when I order form parts express and this big amp purcahse I would be stoaked!!!

you keep checking the tracking number, when it arrives they might call or they might not call you, but you go to the hub where the package is held and do the dirty work there.
for some parcel companies, the hub is at the pearson air port.
