On topic, Moe is IDBLs face (and that is a good thing)and I cant think of a better guy for the job. I am sure there is a lot going on in the background and many decisions are made for the benifit of the competitor and some for the sanctioning body. There are few people that I would say provide instant credibility and Moe is one. Moe = Credibility

Hey fozzz....wht did you win?....what did you use?
I'm so outa touch.
I think IASCA was on the right track when they started out, but there's no way you're ever gonna convince a lot of different judges what is supposed to sound like, with any consistancy.
To get that kind of cooperation requires a huge effort in training judges (which they did), but who cared?
The majority of the world wants glitz, glamour and pizzazz!
The chosen few, that know the difference, can never match the the resourses of the well of the masses, and that's why they'll win if you let them.
Lately, all the hype has been focused on slide-out doors, centre mounted steering, fancy body kits and paint schemes, rims, etc etc etc.
Nothing to do with audio nirvana at all.
It's all good though....just a down cycle for the audiophiles, and fads only last a while...quality endures.
Give it a year or so, for the facts to filter down to the masses (that the "shows" don't give a rats a$$ about how good it sounds, as long as they're heard blocks away) and the quest for SQ will return.
Why would the guys in the spotlight want anything to do with IASCA?
IASCA would only make them look bad!

I'm just saying that the current trend is away from SQ. The nicest sounding car in the world, wouldn't get a second glance at a car show, without the eye candy.('cept for a very small minority of SQ fanatics)
