USA dealers dont tend to be as greedy as their Canadian counterparts.

I'd be careful on this one... most of the dealers on here make an honest living but are not exactly cashing in...

Maybe take a look at the distributors if you want to point fingers

sorry Jordy... does that mean you're cashing in ?
had to say that ... you know

but yes I do agree... many canadian distributors are still trying to cash in and not allowing the margins to be made in the store fronts...( customer sees big price in store and automatically goes searching for better deal online) as you have noticed Im sure ... more and more independant stores are closing... when the canadian distributors finally run out of independants to sell too it will be too late and they will eventually shut down...but when will that happen??? not long I can tell you that

Say what you want, "never" is a word that comes across like there's a bigger issue than just a personal preference. A lot of smart buying can be done on eBay, too. Old school, rare or hard to find products come up on there so often. This is not said to water down support for littler local shops. In no way do I advocate buying from eBay for new products. I'm just saying it sounds to me like the careless buyer that got stung says to boycott eBay.

I've purchased off eBay many times, and I'm aware of the risks, added costs, and other trade-offs associated with buying online. Sure, I've gotten stung perhaps 1 out of 20 deals, but that's how the numbers work.

Additionally, I don't advocate getting stuff for other people online UNLESS they expressly agree that they want "a deal" or whatever reason over buying from a retailer/dealer.

ebay is what drives hard working online stores like 2loud4you, smartass.bz, and such out of buisness because ebay can sell the same stuff for half the price, but with ebay you dont get the professionalism that comes with these good online stores. like rob at forbidden audio, he knows his about the lines he carry's, and he gets you a warrenty to back it up. steve from smartass.bz is one of the friendliest people and knows too much if you ask me. can you find that on ebay? jordy sorry to leave you out but you dont really have too much on your site lol. kidding!

i dont think ebay has a warrenty period. if it breaks your sol, so what you payed 1/2 of what you would in store, but when i breaks your back to square one and could have avoided the situation by buying from a reputable dealer!

ebay has a feedback feature, people don't get good service, they will let others know
and you also get what you paid for so if a deal is too good to be true, it probably is
like right now there is a used JL 10w7 on there for $83 from the states, thats a heck of a deal but if you don't mind it having been taped up already, go for it
