Just go get a 2000rms amp and put those bitches in a properly built 5cu.ft. box and your done.

i did a build in a 99 civic with 2 12's and a alpine 1000.1 to each 1.75^ft each with a nice slot port....it made the radar detectr fall off the windshild

one on each side and the 4 ch under the seat

That's gonna be too much power... the subs can't take it... it's gonna smell like burned wet-dog in there ! Noooooooooo !!!

Wait... what am I saying ? I'm a firm believer of overpowering everything too !

Yay ! More power than what you truly need ! Just make sure your not pushing them too hard, and the subs will love that power.

I'm doing the same, giving 1500W to a pair of subs rated at 500W each. Only problem I've had was a dustcap popping, but that's a manufacturer defect I'm pretty sure. The paint peeled off the cone and bye bye dustcap.

When you're paying more than $1000 for an amp it's too much.

JBL and Alpine maybe over priced in some places but have you ever seen the prices on Boss systems? I laugh when I see they want $700 for a stupid little cd player. Now they have outagous prices!

That JBL's been running for about 5 months now. It cost me $200, factory refurbished from JBL.

I could agree with that for a daily driver, lots of amps out there that make tons of power for cheap if you look around.
