Subject says it all. I have a set of Infinity
605cs 2-way component speakers that I want to
hook up. I have the crossover, woofers, and
tweeters, but the instructions are a little
shady on how to wire it up.

So how exactly do I go about doing this?

I have an Alpine CDA-9807 head unit btw.

You could just connect them to the deck. On the crossover there should be a + and - marked input. Hook those to the front outputs of the deck.

This will work but it is so much nicer to hook to an amp. They will sound cleaner and louder. As well they have a tendancy to last longer becouse of the lower distortion levels of an amplifier.

Directed Audio pretty much said it all, but I guess the trickiest part is finding a good place for the crossovers when doing an install off the deck. Probably the easiest thing to do is use the existing speakerwire that is running to the doors. You may have to remove your door pannels to do this. Simply connect the cable running to your door pods to the + and - inputs like Directed Audio said. See if you can secure the crossovers within the doors, and connect the individual outputs to the tweeter and midwoofer. If you get an outboard amp, getting the speakerwires to the doors can be a chore sometimes though. Powering from the deck should not be too difficult to install though. Getting the woofer to fit in the door is sometimes tough also.
