you BUILT those?
it aint that hard. all u do is take a motor (magnet) find a basket that fits, screw those together. Then u pick out a coil right for the motor, hang (attach) it to the cone, then attach the spider(s) to it. So now u have motor and basket in one hand AND cone, coil and spiders attached together in other hand. what happens next is no mystery, u glue one to the other & makesure the coil drops properly into the motor. and dont forget to run the tensels. your sub is done.
DW to some it doesnt translate b/c it is not inteded for those to understand it.......
Chizzle, TC Sounds is american. Yes it is moreless like lego, but some parts work well with each other and some do not. thats where engeneering comes in. That is why some subs are louder/better than others meanwhile both are made from the similar parts provided by the same manufacturer. A hubby like this costs alot. TC is a major supplier and their minimal order is someting in the range of $30,000.
Richard just has a bunch of SPL subs kicking around so he decided to make some monsters out of what he had.

yes that is exactly it. most cheap subs are not ment to be reusable tho, so if u blow up a sony xplode it's pretty much garbage. on the other hand, we took one of my shocker extremes and plugged it into a 600 volt power line, it blew up to **** but the next day they were back in jeep playing music. i got pics of them in the canada spl camp post in the eastern section.

yes that is exactly it. most cheap subs are not ment to be reusable tho, so if u blow up a sony xplode it's pretty much garbage. on the other hand, we took one of my shocker extremes and plugged it into a 600 volt power line, it blew up to **** but the next day they were back in jeep playing music. i got pics of them in the canada spl camp post in the eastern section.
the motor and basket lived, so we just hang some new coils to new cones and new spiders and put that onto the motor and basket that survived.
attaching motor to the basket is not so hard. it only takes 6 srews, thats the easiest part of the whole thing.
